Description
Sweet and salty toffee bark on crispy saltine crackers with festive red, white, and blue sprinkles—perfect for celebrating the 4th of July.
Ingredients
40 saltine crackers (about 1 sleeve)
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange saltine crackers in a single layer.
3. Melt butter and brown sugar together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
4. Bring mixture to a boil and cook for 3 minutes without stirring.
5. Pour hot toffee evenly over the saltines.
6. Bake for 5 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over hot toffee.
8. Let stand 5 minutes and spread melted chocolate evenly.
9. Sprinkle festive sprinkles on top.
10. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
Notes
Store in an airtight container.
Add chopped nuts before baking for extra crunch.
Use white chocolate chips for a different flavor and look.
