Description
Juicy on the inside and golden-crunchy on the outside, these air fryer chicken tenders are a healthier twist on the classic. No deep frying needed—just bold seasoning and hot air for a crispy, satisfying bite!
Ingredients
-
1 lb chicken tenders (or chicken breasts cut into strips)
-
½ cup all-purpose flour
-
2 large eggs, beaten
-
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
Olive oil spray
Instructions
-
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
-
Set up dredging station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix panko with seasonings in a third.
-
Coat chicken: Dredge each chicken strip in flour, dip into eggs, then press into the seasoned panko.
-
Air fry: Place tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with olive oil. Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
-
Serve: Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ.
Notes
-
Don’t overcrowd the basket—cook in batches if needed for maximum crispiness.
-
Swap panko for crushed cornflakes or seasoned breadcrumbs for variation.
-
For extra flavor, marinate chicken in buttermilk for 30 minutes before breading.
