  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of cold butter

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vegetable oil. Whisk until smooth, then add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture. A few flour streaks are okay.
  • Stir in the chopped apples until well incorporated.
  • In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  • Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the batter.
  • Top with the remaining bread batter, smoothing it carefully.
  • For the crisp topping, mix oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the batter.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
