  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your donut pan generously.
  • In a small saucepan, bring the apple cider to a boil over medium heat. Let it simmer until it reduces to about 1/3 cup, which takes about 10-15 minutes.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flours, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and then mix in the reduced apple cider, oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, and gently fold them together until just combined.
  • Using a piping bag or a spoon, fill the donut pan about 3/4 full.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for about 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the donuts cool for about 5 minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack. Dip each donut in the melted butter and then coat them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
