2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
3/4 cup of warm water
1 cup of cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup of mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
3 green onions, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of ginger, grated
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 tablespoon of melted butter
Fresh parsley or cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually add the warm water and mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
In another bowl, mix the shredded chicken, mixed vegetables, chopped green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, and ginger. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Divide the rested dough into small portions and roll each piece out on a floured surface until they’re about 1/8-inch thick.
Place about a tablespoon of filling in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal.
Arrange dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with melted butter.
Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro before serving.
