Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat (lump or claw)
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine crab meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice, Old Bay, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Form the mixture into patties.
  • Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
  • Serve with a lemon wedge and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, coat the patties in additional breadcrumbs before frying.
  • Try serving with a tangy tartar sauce or a garlic aioli.
