1 pound of fresh green beans
1 can (10.5 oz) of cream of mushroom soup
¾ cup of milk
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
¼ teaspoon of black pepper
1½ cups of French fried onions
Salt to taste
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Prepare the green beans; wash and trim the ends if using fresh, or use frozen directly.
Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes until vibrant green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well combined.
Add the blanched green beans and 1 cup of French fried onions to the soup mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Top with the reserved French fried onions.
