Savor bold Blackened Steak paired with Shrimp Alfredo for a deliciously rich dish. Perfect for steak lovers craving a creamy, flavorful meal.
Ingredients
Scale
8 oz fettuccine pasta
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
In a bowl, toss the steak strips with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and half of the Cajun seasoning. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the steak. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are nicely browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a plate while you prepare the shrimp.
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and the shrimp. Sprinkle the remaining Cajun seasoning over them. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp and set them aside with the steak.
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the remaining olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let it gently thicken for 2-3 minutes.
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, and toss until combined. If it’s too thick, add a splash of that reserved pasta water to thin it out to your desired consistency. Now add the steak and shrimp back into the skillet. Mix everything together gently.
Give it a taste! You might want to add a sprinkle of salt and pepper to elevate the flavors.
Plate your creamy Blackened Steak and Shrimp Alfredo and finish with a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley.
