8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup chopped apples (Granny Smith recommended)
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Extra caramel sauce for drizzling on top
In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
Gently fold in the sour cream and vanilla extract until just combined.
Spread half of the cream cheese mixture on the bottom of a serving dish and drizzle half of the caramel sauce over it.
Sprinkle the chopped apples evenly over the caramel layer. If using nuts, sprinkle them in now.
