2 cups of fresh grapes (red or green, your choice!)
1 large apple, diced (I love Honeycrisp for its sweetness!)
1 cup of granulated sugar
1/4 cup of unsalted butter
1/4 cup of heavy cream
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
Optional: Chopped nuts or sprinkles for garnish
Wash your grapes thoroughly and pat them dry with a clean towel. Dice your apple into bite-sized pieces, leaving the skin on for that extra crunch!
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar and butter. Stir gently until the sugar dissolves and the mixture starts bubbling.
Carefully add in the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and let the mixture settle until smooth and golden brown.
Remove the saucepan from the heat, and stir in vanilla extract and sea salt. Let the caramel cool for a couple of minutes.
Using a skewer or a fork, dip each grape (and apple pieces, if desired!) into the caramel and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Allow your Caramel Apple Grapes to cool completely at room temperature until the caramel hardens.
