This Caramelized Banana Cheesecake features a creamy cheesecake base topped with sweet, buttery caramelized bananas for a luscious and irresistible dessert.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup melted butter
3 ripe bananas
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
4. Add sliced bananas and brown sugar; cook until bananas caramelize and turn golden, about 5 minutes.
5. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
6. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
7. Stir in vanilla, sour cream, and salt.
8. Pour cheesecake batter over crust.
9. Bake for 50-60 minutes until center is set but slightly jiggly.
10. Cool cheesecake completely.
11. Top with caramelized bananas before serving.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for the best caramelization.
For extra flavor, drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
Store leftovers refrigerated and consume within 3 days.
