  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • 2 cups of shredded cheese (Gruyère and cheddar)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons of butter, melted

  • Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Toss the trimmed and halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Roast the Brussels sprouts in the oven for about 20 minutes until tender and caramelized.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, minced garlic, and nutmeg over medium heat. Stir until it starts to steam. Gradually add 1 ½ cups of shredded cheese, mixing until melted and creamy.
  • Combine the roasted Brussels sprouts with the cheese sauce, stirring until well coated.
  • Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, mix the remaining ½ cup of cheese with the breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle this mixture over the Brussels sprouts.
  • Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbling and golden on top.
  • Let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
