Ingredients
1 pound pre-tenderized cube steaks or round steaks (about 4 steaks)
Kosher salt

2 large eggs
beaten
1/2 cup milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons kosher salt (for breading)
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Oil for frying (canola

3 tablespoons pan drippings
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 3/4 cups milk (adjust to preference)

Instructions
- Season the steak with kosher salt on both sides.
- In a shallow bowl, combine the beaten eggs and milk.
- In another bowl, mix flour, kosher salt, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Dip each steak first in the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat; fry the steaks for about 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove the steaks and set aside; retain pan drippings for the gravy.
- For the gravy, in the same skillet, whisk together the pan drippings and flour until smooth.
- Gradually stir in the heavy cream and milk until thickened and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve the fried steak hot, topped with the gravy.
Notes
For extra seasoning, you can add your favorite spices to the flour mixture. Adjust the milk in the gravy for your preferred consistency.
