Ingredients

2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

1 cup soft caramels (about 20 pieces)

1 tbsp heavy cream

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips
Instructions

Slice apples: Cut apples into ½-inch thick slices and insert wooden sticks or popsicle sticks into each slice. Pat dry.

Melt caramel: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels with cream in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

Dip & chill: Dip each apple slice in caramel, let excess drip off, and place on parchment-lined tray. Chill for 10 minutes.

Melt chocolate: Microwave chocolate chips until melted and smooth.

Coat in chocolate: Dip caramel-coated apple slices into chocolate, then add toppings if desired. Chill again until set.
