  • Yield: 8 slices 1x

Description

These caramel apple slices dipped in chocolate are a fun, mess-free twist on a classic fall favorite. Perfect for parties, gifting, or an afternoon indulgence!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)

  • 1 cup soft caramels (about 20 pieces)

  • 1 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Slice apples: Cut apples into ½-inch thick slices and insert wooden sticks or popsicle sticks into each slice. Pat dry.

  • Melt caramel: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt caramels with cream in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

  • Dip & chill: Dip each apple slice in caramel, let excess drip off, and place on parchment-lined tray. Chill for 10 minutes.

  • Melt chocolate: Microwave chocolate chips until melted and smooth.

  • Coat in chocolate: Dip caramel-coated apple slices into chocolate, then add toppings if desired. Chill again until set.

Notes

  • Pat apple slices dry before dipping to help caramel stick.

  • Best eaten the same day to prevent apple browning.

  • Store in fridge in a single layer for up to 24 hours.
