- 6 slices white sandwich bread
- 6 oz cooked chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 4 strips bacon, cooked until crisp
- 2 leaves lettuce, washed and dried
- 1 ripe tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
- 3 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 4 toothpicks for serving
Instructions
- Toast all bread slices until golden brown.
- Mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
- Spread mayo-mustard mixture on one side of each bread slice.
- On the first slice, layer lettuce, chicken, and tomato. Season with salt and pepper.
- Top with a second slice of bread, then add bacon, avocado (if using), and another piece of lettuce.
- Crown with the third slice of bread, mayo side down.
- Cut diagonally into quarters and secure each quarter with a toothpick.
