  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

These homemade Valentine’s cakes are soft, fluffy, and coated in a luscious vanilla glaze—just like the store-bought favorite but even better! Perfect for sharing with your loved ones.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box white cake mix (+ ingredients listed on the box)
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate, melted
  • Sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  • Bake the Cake: Prepare cake batter as per the box instructions. Bake in a lined 9×13-inch pan at 175°C (350°F) for 25-30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Cut & Fill: Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out cakes. Mix butter, powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and food coloring for frosting. Spread frosting between two cake hearts to make sandwiches.
  • Coat with Chocolate: Melt white chocolate, then dip cakes until fully coated. Place on parchment paper.
  • Decorate & Set: Add sprinkles if desired. Let the cakes set until firm before serving.

Notes

  • Use gel food coloring for a vibrant pink hue.
  • Let the cakes chill in the fridge before dipping to prevent crumbs.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
