Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup beef broth
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
1 tbsp tomato paste
-
1 tsp Italian seasoning
-
1 cup cooked pasta shells
-
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Cook the beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
-
Add the onions and garlic: Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
-
Make the sauce: Stir in beef broth, heavy cream, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
-
Combine pasta: Add the cooked pasta shells to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
-
Melt the cheese: Stir in mozzarella cheese and cook until melted and the pasta is fully coated in the creamy sauce.
-
Season: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
-
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley (optional) and serve hot.
Notes
-
For a more decadent dish, add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
-
You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
