1 cup of all-purpose flour (sifted)
½ cup of unsalted butter, softened
½ cup of brown sugar
¼ cup of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
½ cup of chocolate chips
½ cup of heavy cream
¼ cup of powdered sugar
1 cup of chocolate ganache (made from 1 cup of chocolate chips and ½ cup of heavy cream)
Sprinkles or chopped nuts for topping
In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter with both types of sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
Stir in the vanilla extract, then gradually add the flour, mixing gently to avoid overmixing.
Fold in the chocolate chips and heavy cream until the dough is sticky and creamy.
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Scoop about a tablespoon of dough and roll into balls.
In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of chocolate chips and ½ cup of heavy cream over low heat, stirring until smooth to make the ganache.
Dip each truffle into the warm ganache, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
While the ganache is still wet, sprinkle with toppings.
Chill the truffles in the fridge for about an hour until the chocolate has hardened.
