Ingredients
-
1 lb (450g) ground beef
-
2 tbsp olive oil
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup beef broth
-
1 tsp dried oregano
-
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your choice)
-
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
-
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
-
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook for 6-8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
-
Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Stir in dried oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
-
While the sauce simmers, cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
-
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing it gently to coat with the creamy beef sauce.
-
Stir in grated parmesan cheese and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the pasta is well coated and the cheese melts into the sauce.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
-
You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner alternative to beef.
-
For extra creaminess, stir in a bit more heavy cream or add cream cheese.
-
Serve with a side of garlic bread or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
