1 medium head of green cabbage (about 2 pounds), shredded
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme or dill
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
1 cup shredded cheese (feta, cheddar, or mozzarella)
1 pre-made pie crust
For the Dill Cream Sauce: 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, warm up the olive oil. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent (about 5-7 minutes). Stir in the minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Gradually stir in the shredded cabbage. Cook for 10-15 minutes until it wilts and softens.
Once the cabbage is tender, sprinkle in the thyme or dill, and mix well. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
In a large bowl, whisk together the beaten eggs and yogurt. Then fold in the cooled cabbage mixture along with the shredded cheese.
Place your pie crust in a greased pie dish.
Spoon the cabbage filling into the crust and spread it out evenly.
Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
