2 pounds sirloin steak or boneless beef chuck roast sliced thin

1 cup beef broth

1 Tablespoon sesame oil

3 garlic cloves minced

4 Tablespoons cornstarch

4 Tablespoons water

1 bag (12 ounces) frozen broccoli florets

cooked white rice to serve with (if desired)


Instructions

  • In a Crock Pot, combine the sliced beef, beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and minced garlic. Stir well to mix all ingredients.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours until the beef is tender.
  • In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the Crock Pot to thicken the sauce.
  • Add the frozen broccoli florets to the pot and cook for an additional 30 minutes on high until the broccoli is heated through.
