  • Author: amelia
  • Total Time: 31 minute
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Tender, juicy chicken slow-cooked in a sticky-sweet honey garlic sauce. This dump-and-go crockpot meal is effortless comfort food — perfect over rice, noodles, or veggies!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

  • 1/2 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 23 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

  • Sesame seeds & chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Add to crockpot: Place chicken in the slow cooker.

  2. Make sauce: In a bowl, whisk honey, soy sauce, ketchup, garlic, oregano, and pepper. Pour over chicken.

  3. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender.

  4. Optional thickening: Remove chicken. Mix cornstarch with water, stir into sauce, and cook on high for 10–15 min until thick.

  5. Shred & serve: Shred chicken or serve whole. Drizzle with sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • Works great with thighs for more flavor and tenderness.

  • Serve with steamed rice, quinoa, or stir-fried veggies.

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for later.
