  • Author: Amelia
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 12 cheese bites 1x

Description

Get ready for the ultimate cheesy, crunchy snack! These Fried Cheese Stuffed Doritos combine gooey melted cheese with a bold Doritos crust, making them irresistibly crispy and flavorful. Perfect for parties, game nights, or whenever you need a fun and indulgent treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cheese cubes (cheddar, mozzarella, or pepper jack)
  • 2 cups Doritos, crushed into fine crumbs (any flavor!)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Coating

  • Place crushed Doritos in a bowl.
  • In a second bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • In a third bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.

2️⃣ Coat the Cheese Cubes

  • Roll each cheese cube in flour mixture.
  • Dip into egg mixture, then coat generously with crushed Doritos.
  • For extra crunch, repeat the egg + Doritos coating.
  • Place on a tray and freeze for 20-30 minutes (prevents cheese from melting too fast).

3️⃣ Fry Until Golden

  • Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep pan.
  • Fry cheese bites for 30-45 seconds per side, or until crispy and golden.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy!

  • Serve hot with ranch, marinara, or spicy mayo for dipping!

Notes

✔️ Try different Doritos flavors! Cool Ranch, Spicy Nacho, or Flamin’ Hot all work great!
✔️ Freezing is key! It keeps the cheese from oozing out too quickly when frying.
✔️ For a healthier version, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes or air-fry at 375°F for 8 minutes.
