Description

These Easy Creamy Garlic Sauce Baby Potatoes are the perfect side dish—creamy, garlicky, and oh-so-delicious! Tender baby potatoes are smothered in a rich, flavorful garlic sauce that will have everyone asking for more. Simple ingredients, easy to make, and absolutely mouthwatering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra creaminess)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the Potatoes: Wash and halve or quarter the baby potatoes, depending on their size.

2️⃣ Cook the Potatoes: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

3️⃣ Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and Dijon mustard (if using). Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.

4️⃣ Combine the Potatoes and Sauce: Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet and toss them in the creamy garlic sauce. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, until the potatoes are coated and heated through.

5️⃣ Garnish & Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese (if using), then serve hot.

Notes

✔️ For a lighter version, use half-and-half or milk instead of heavy cream.
✔️ You can also add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat!
✔️ Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat on the stovetop or in the microwave.
