Ingredients

  • lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 cups jarred or homemade salsa (mild or spicy)

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: juice of ½ lime, chopped cilantro for garnish


Instructions

  1. Add ingredients: Place chicken in the crockpot. Pour salsa over the top, then sprinkle with cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  2. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender and shreds easily.

  3. Shred & serve: Shred chicken with two forks in the crockpot and mix with salsa juices. Add lime juice if using. Serve hot.

Notes
