Description

This Easy Focaccia Bread is fluffy, golden, and infused with olive oil and herbs for incredible flavor. With minimal kneading and simple ingredients, it’s perfect for beginners and makes a great side for soups, salads, or sandwiches!


Ingredients

  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast (1 packet)

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 cup warm water (about 110°F)

  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ¼ cup olive oil, plus more for drizzling

  • 1 tsp dried rosemary or Italian herbs

  • Flaky salt, for topping (optional)


Instructions

  1. Activate yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

  2. Make dough: Stir in flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until sticky dough forms.

  3. First rise: Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.

  4. Shape: Transfer dough to an oiled baking pan. Press and stretch gently to fit. Dimple surface with your fingers.

  5. Top & bake: Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle herbs and flaky salt. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 20 minutes until golden brown.

  6. Cool & slice: Let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy warm.
