  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: Makes 12 sliders 1x

Description

These Easy French Dip Sliders are a perfect handheld version of the classic French dip sandwich. With juicy roast beef, melted cheese, and a savory au jus dipping sauce, they’re an irresistible crowd-pleaser for parties, game day, or a quick dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Assemble the Sliders:
    • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
    • Layer the roast beef evenly on the bottom rolls and top with slices of provolone cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  • Make the Dipping Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush the mixture over the tops of the slider rolls.
  • Bake the Sliders:
    • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
    • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the tops.
  • Prepare the Au Jus:
    • While the sliders are baking, heat the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme (if using) in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until warm.
  • Serve and Enjoy:
    • Remove the sliders from the oven and serve immediately with the warm au jus dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can sauté some onions and add them to the sliders before baking.
  • These sliders can be made ahead of time. Simply assemble, cover, and refrigerate until ready to bake.
  • You can substitute Swiss cheese for provolone if preferred.
