Ingredients
Scale
- 12 slider rolls
- 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
- 6 slices provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Assemble the Sliders:
- Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Layer the roast beef evenly on the bottom rolls and top with slices of provolone cheese. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
- Make the Dipping Sauce:
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, Dijon mustard (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Brush the mixture over the tops of the slider rolls.
- Bake the Sliders:
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up the tops.
- Prepare the Au Jus:
- While the sliders are baking, heat the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and dried thyme (if using) in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally until warm.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Remove the sliders from the oven and serve immediately with the warm au jus dipping sauce.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can sauté some onions and add them to the sliders before baking.
- These sliders can be made ahead of time. Simply assemble, cover, and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- You can substitute Swiss cheese for provolone if preferred.
