1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, sliced into strips
1 cup of broccoli florets
1 cup of snap peas
1 medium carrot, julienned
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
1 tablespoon of sesame oil
Sesame seeds for garnish
Green onions for garnish
Optional protein of choice – tofu, shrimp, or chicken
Instructions
Prep your ingredients: Cut and slice all your veggies. Having everything ready to go makes stir-frying a breeze!
Heat the oil: In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil. Wait until it's shimmering but not smoking.
Cook the onion and garlic: Toss in the sliced onion and sauté for about 2 minutes, until it’s softening. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the vegetables: Start with the bell pepper and carrot, stir them for about 3 minutes.
In with the greens: Next, add the broccoli and snap peas; stir-fry everything for another 3-4 minutes.
Season away: Drizzle the soy sauce and oyster sauce over the veggies, stirring well to coat and allow to cook together for another minute.
Finish with sesame oil: Drizzle in the sesame oil for an extra layer of flavor before removing from heat.
