- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
- ¼ cup (50g) granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp milk (or heavy cream)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips
Instructions
1️⃣ Heat-Treat the Flour:
- Microwave the flour in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until it reaches 165°F (75°C) OR
- Bake it on a sheet at 300°F (150°C) for 5 minutes to kill bacteria.
2️⃣ Make the Dough:
- Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Mix in milk, vanilla, and salt.
- Gradually add the heat-treated flour, mixing until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
3️⃣ Enjoy or Store:
- Eat immediately, or chill for a firmer texture.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
