Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

1 small onion, diced

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 cups marinara or tomato sauce

1 tbsp tomato paste (optional for richness)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Cook pasta: Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté beef & veggies: In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add diced onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Make the sauce: Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Combine: Add cooked pasta to the beef mixture. Mix well.

Cheesy finish: Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover, and let melt. Or, pour into a baking dish, top with cheese, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes until bubbly.

Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
