Description

This comforting and satisfying beefaroni is a simple, crowd-pleasing dish loaded with seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, and a rich tomato sauce—topped with melty cheese. Perfect for Father’s Day or any cozy family dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups marinara or tomato sauce

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste (optional for richness)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta: Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Sauté beef & veggies: In a large skillet, heat olive oil. Add diced onion and garlic; cook 2–3 minutes. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

  3. Make the sauce: Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. Combine: Add cooked pasta to the beef mixture. Mix well.

  5. Cheesy finish: Sprinkle shredded cheese on top, cover, and let melt. Or, pour into a baking dish, top with cheese, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 minutes until bubbly.

  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or a pinch of chili flakes.

  • Easily make it ahead and reheat for quick weeknight meals.

  • Use ground turkey or chicken for a leaner version.
