Ingredients
Scale
1 lb of thinly sliced roast beef
12 slider rolls
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
1 cup of beef broth
½ cup of provolone cheese, grated
2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Sauté the onions: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Toss in the sliced onions and a pinch of salt. Stir them occasionally for about 10-12 minutes until they’re caramelized and golden brown. Add the minced garlic during the last minute of cooking.
Prepare the beef: Add roast beef, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Stir together and let this simmer for about 5 minutes until heated through.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Assemble the sliders: Slice the slider rolls in half. Place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish. Spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture on each roll, then sprinkle the cheese on top and place the top halves back on.
Bake to perfection: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Serve and enjoy: Drizzle with leftover beef juice and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve with small bowls of au jus.
