Description

This Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet is a one-pan meal that combines tender steak with perfectly crispy potatoes, all cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce. A hearty, flavorful dish that’s easy to make and absolutely delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper.
  • Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes per side (or to desired doneness). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add diced potatoes and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and crispy.
  • Add butter, garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the pan, then pour in beef broth. Stir and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Return steaks to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter over the meat. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispy potatoes, parboil them before pan-frying.
  • Use a cast-iron skillet for a better sear on the steak.
  • Add sautéed vegetables like mushrooms or bell peppers for more flavor.
