This Beef Stroganoff is a rich and creamy dish featuring tender strips of beef, sautéed mushrooms, and a velvety sour cream sauce. Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin or filet, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1️⃣ Sear the Beef – Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat. Quickly sear the beef strips for 1-2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
2️⃣ Sauté the Veggies – In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
3️⃣ Make the Sauce – Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce.
4️⃣ Add the Cream – Lower the heat and mix in sour cream or heavy cream. Stir until smooth, then return the beef to the pan.
5️⃣ Serve & Enjoy – Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over buttered noodles or rice!
Notes
✔ For extra depth, add a splash of brandy or white wine when sautéing the mushrooms.
