  • 4 cups of fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Cooked rice or noodles for serving

  • Instructions

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat a little oil over medium-high heat and add the ground beef. Break it apart as it cooks for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Add the broccoli florets along with the beef broth (or water), cover, and steam for 4-5 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and tender-crisp.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat, serve over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired.
