1 medium onion, diced
2–3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 small head of cabbage, chopped (or about 4 cups of pre-chopped cabbage)
1 can (14.5 ounces) of diced tomatoes
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh herbs
Instructions
Heat the pan: In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat the olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
Sauté the aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until the onion becomes translucent and fragrant.
Add the ground beef: Push the onions to the side and add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
