  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably Italian seasoned)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 slider buns
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • If your chicken breasts are thick, pound them gently until about ½ inch thick.
  • Set up a breading station with flour (mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder), whisked eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each chicken breast in flour, then egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Drain excess oil and place chicken on a baking sheet. Spoon marinara sauce over each piece and sprinkle with mozzarella.
  • Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Toast slider buns lightly in the skillet.
