  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting
  • 40 mini pretzels
  • 40 candy eyes

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  • Once cool, use chocolate frosting to create spider bodies on top of each cookie.
  • Stick four pretzel legs into each side of the frosting blob.
  • Add two candy eyes on top of the frosting.
