1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 large eggs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil (for browning)
3 cups tomato sauce (for simmering)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix until well blended.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and brown on all sides.
- Once browned, remove the meatballs and set aside. In the same skillet, add tomato sauce and bring to a simmer.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for 20-25 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve warm over your favorite pasta or in a sub sandwich.
Notes
You can substitute ground turkey for a leaner option. Adjust cooking time based on meatball size.
