This Honey Mustard Salmon recipe combines the sweetness of honey with the tang of Dijon mustard for a truly delicious dish that is quick to prepare and sure to please.
Ingredients
1 ½ to 2 pounds (680g to 900g) salmon fillets
1 ½ tablespoons honey
1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 cloves garlic
minced (about 3 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil (for searing or baking dish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, dill, and salt until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a baking dish and brush or pour the honey mustard mixture over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- If desired, sear the salmon in a hot skillet with olive oil for an additional 3-5 minutes to achieve a crispy exterior.
- Serve warm, garnished with extra dill if desired.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the sweetness and tang of the sauce by altering the amounts of honey and Dijon mustard to your taste. You can also add other herbs or spices to customize the flavors.
