1 tsp salt
-
2 tbsp sesame seeds (plus more for topping)
-
2 tbsp honey
-
1½ cups buttermilk
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix until just combined (don’t overwork).

-
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
-
Cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
-
No buttermilk? Mix 1½ cups milk with 1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice—let sit 5 minutes.
-
For a nuttier flavor, toast the sesame seeds before adding.
-
Delicious warm with butter and a drizzle of extra honey!
