Honey Sweetened Peach Jam Recipe: Easy & Delicious Spread

  • Author: amelia
  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 2 cups 1x

Description

This naturally sweetened peach jam uses honey instead of sugar, making it a healthier and flavorful spread. With just a few ingredients, you’ll have homemade jam that’s perfect on toast, pancakes, or as a gift.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe peaches, peeled and chopped

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 23 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare peaches: In a large saucepan, combine chopped peaches and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, until softened.

  • Mash & sweeten: Mash the peaches with a potato masher or fork to your desired texture. Stir in honey, vanilla, and cinnamon (if using). Simmer for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the jam thickens.

  • Test & store: To test consistency, place a spoonful on a plate and chill briefly. If it firms up, remove from heat. Let cool, then store in a jar in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Use fully ripe peaches for the best flavor.

  • Adjust honey to your sweetness preference.

  • This jam can also be canned for longer shelf life.
