A delicious and spicy twist on classic pizza, featuring hot honey, pepperoni, and creamy ricotta, perfect for pizza night.
Ingredients
1 ball pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
Flour or cornmeal for dusting
½ cup tomato sauce or pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup whole milk ricotta cheese
dolloped
20–25 slices pepperoni
1–2 tablespoons hot honey
Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Red pepper flakes for extra heat (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and prepare a pizza stone or baking sheet by dusting it with flour or cornmeal.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it reaches your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled dough onto the prepared pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by dollops of ricotta cheese.
- Layer the pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.
- Drizzle hot honey over the top of the pizza before baking.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves and red pepper flakes if desired, and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
