1 loaf of French or Italian bread
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
4–6 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Take your loaf of bread and make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart, being careful not to cut all the way through the bottom.
In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, and salt.
