1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Optional toppings: green onions, sour cream, or your favorite hot sauce
Instructions
Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
In the same skillet, add the chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer and stir in the cornstarch mixture. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until it reaches desired thickness.
Pour the gravy over the chicken in the pan. Top each breast with Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, then sprinkle with crispy bacon.
Cover the skillet with a lid and let sit on low heat for 3-5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from heat, garnish with green onions, and serve.
