Craving Chicken Parmesan but don’t want the hassle? This Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese combines crispy chicken, marinara sauce, and melty cheese between golden, buttery bread—perfect for a quick lunch or dinner!


Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread (sourdough or Italian work best)
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (if using pan-fried chicken)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep the Bread

  • Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
  • Sprinkle a little garlic powder on the buttered side for extra flavor.

2️⃣ Assemble the Sandwich

  • On the unbuttered side of two bread slices, layer:
    Chicken
    Marinara sauce
    Mozzarella & Parmesan cheese
    Italian seasoning
  • Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side facing out.

3️⃣ Cook Until Golden & Melty

  • Heat a pan over medium heat.
  • Cook each sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side, pressing down gently until golden brown and crispy.
  • Flip and repeat until the cheese is melted.

4️⃣ Serve & Enjoy

  • Slice in half and serve hot with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
