1 lb (450 g) pork sausage meat (homemade or store-bought)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 package puff pastry (around 17 oz or 480 g, thawed)
1 egg (for egg wash)
Optional: sesame seeds or poppy seeds for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Sauté the onions in a little oil over medium heat until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic halfway through.
In a large bowl, combine the softened sausage meat, sautéed onions, garlic, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well using your hands.
