1 cup of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of matcha powder
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup of granulated sugar
1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Scoop out about a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball, then roll in powdered sugar.
Place the cookies about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, allowing to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
