  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar for rolling

  • Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  • Scoop out about a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball, then roll in powdered sugar.
  • Place the cookies about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, allowing to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
