Ingredients
1/2 cup butter (115 g)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 g)
1/2 cup light brown sugar (110 g)
1/2 cup peanut butter (130 g)
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (5 ml)
1 cup all-purpose flour (120 g)
1 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats (112 g)
1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5 g)
1/2 teaspoon baking powder (2 g)
1/2 teaspoon baking soda (2.5 g)
3/4 cup M&M candies (130 g)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (90 g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter until fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, oats, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the M&M candies and chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
You can customize these cookies by adding nuts or using different types of chocolate chips. Make sure not to overbake for a chewy texture.
