Delight in spooky Monster Eye Brownie Bites These sweet irresistible treats are perfect for Halloween parties or any festive occasion
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups assorted candy eyeballs
Optional: green or purple frosting
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease an 8-inch square baking pan with cooking spray or butter, then line it with parchment paper.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter until it’s completely liquid. Let it cool slightly.
Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and combine well using a spatula.
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently.
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake for about 20-25 minutes.
Let your brownies cool for about 10 minutes, then carefully lift them out using the parchment paper. Once cooled, cut them into bite-sized squares.
Decorate by using frosting to make a nest for your candy eyeballs and place one or two on each brownie bite.
