Ingredients
6–7 ripe nectarines peeled and sliced (about 5 cups)
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter cubed
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced nectarines, granulated sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the nectarines to a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg (if using), and salt. Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the nectarines.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
